Am I Wasting Time At Home?

Photo taken from https://evolvingwisdom.com/blog/orchestrating-time/

No. Why? Because I have the freedom to do anything I want. For some people, it might seem like wasting time when you’re at home and you don’t do anything significant. Being a significant means to succeed and be well known for doing something amazing. It may also seem like I’m wasting my time when I don’t bring in any income. How do I use my time wisely? Do research, read books, watch videos on YouTube, clean the house, think of new ideas about working from home and read read read anything!

How to avoid wasting time:

1. Do daily exercises. If you don’t like exercising, the best one to do is leg lifts because it’s for lazy people. Doing an exercise that requires lying down seems ineffective, but it actually produces real results.

2. Turn off the computer and all electronics. Take a walk in the park.

3. Always read everything and anything. Blogs, books, newsletters, e-mails.

So, am I wasting my time? It seems like yes and no. Most wouldn’t agree about staying home every day and not bringing in income. Since I’m nowhere near a spender, I don’t have to worry about my finances. What is wasting time for you? Leave a comment below and let me know!

Am I Trying Hard Enough To Earn A Living?

Photo taken from https://www.freshbooks.com/blog/money-management-strategies

Yes and no. I used to think working hard was doing all the rigorous labor work standing 8 hours and 6 days a week. My understanding of working hard was being employed by a brand or a company. But today, that understanding changed when I began doing tons of research what real hard work looks like. It’s not what I thought. Working hard, for example, is writing a book and putting in all your time to get it finished in a timely manner, bringing value and helping others achieve success.

Making an earning was something I was never great at doing. My biggest struggle of making an earning was to fit in with teams at workplaces. I had trouble getting along with colleagues mostly due to the language barrier and people couldn’t accept my manners or character. People always question me why I speak with an accent. I get mistreated many times because people don’t understand why I speak the way that I did. When I explain my past to them, they refuse to believe me. My life experience is different from them and it seems unbelievable. What I’m trying to say is working for a brand or a company isn’t my cup of tea. My biggest problem is getting along with any teams.

Working is crucial because it makes us feel valuable and productive. Living a life without working feels meaningless. Working is good for us – it brings creativity, experience, and skills. It’s good to work if we can work on our own terms. Trading time for money and never have the time for yourself is something most people don’t like. I believe self-employment is the best answer to freedom. The reason why it seems like I’m not trying hard enough to earn a living is that I’m not struggling financially. I have a roof over my head, food on the table, a computer laptop, a great internet connection, etc. I’m frugal when it comes to spending. I learned over the years to stop spending money without thinking and saving so that I don’t run out of cash. The biggest mistake I ever made with money is paying for a so-called laser tattoo removal service that cost me 8,000 Thai Baht ($256). The “doctors” weren’t real doctors. They performed tattoo removal on me without producing results. My tattoo wasn’t removed after the procedure. I was left with burn marks, several scars, and itchiness that still lasted after a year. Many times I still have that regretful feeling, but I tell myself all the time – it is a lesson. I learned to manage my finance better than before after this experience. I think thoroughly before I decide to spend money on anything.

My point is working for yourself and managing your finance wisely, you can have a life that you want without going broke and lacking anything in life. Spending money on reading materials or programs that help you to make money is better than spending on something you don’t use.

What is financial freedom?

It is to live the lifestyle you want without having to live paycheck to paycheck. Not working a regular 9 to 5 for 6 days a week. For me, at least, I think I have some sort of freedom. I don’t have a regular job, no monthly income, and no salary, but I’m able to live without working because I don’t have to pay rent or a utility bill. But at the same time, I’m not exactly financially free. My father pays the utility bills every month. I have a lot of free time to stay home and I use the resources I have at home. If I really did need to make money, I could work from the comfort of my own home without having to commute to work. Even though I’m not exactly financially free, I don’t need to worry about paying bills and I’m free of debt. I don’t try to purchase anything I know I can’t afford.

Definition of financial freedom from richdad.com:

“Financial freedom is about much more than just having money. It’s the freedom to be who you really are and do what you really want in life. It’s about following your passion, making choices that aren’t influenced by your bank account, and living life on your terms.”

How To Come Out of Depression

I used to have a terrible method of dealing with my depression. I would sleep off my days when I feel I didn’t have a purpose in life. Whenever I’m sad, I would always think of sleeping it off to kill time. As I dealt with the depression this way, it makes everything worst. I would get headaches and I would feel unproductive, that I was wasting away my life. I decided to get up and go exercising. I never liked to exercise, but that feeling after exercising is the best feeling like I accomplished something. I didn’t accomplish anything major, but I knew I did something I avoided doing for most of my life. Exercising fights away sadness.

“Now O Lord, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live.” Jonah 4:3

The question is how do you fight depression?

  1. Start exercising. Start easy by doing leg lifts.
  2. Set goals. Whether you will accomplish those goals or not doesn’t matter. It’s good to set goals first.
  3. Start a blog and write anything and everything. It doesn’t matter if you have nothing to write about or if you don’t have a vast vocabulary. You can build that by reading books. If there is a word you don’t know in a book you’re reading, it’s good to write down the sentence with that word and look it up and write down the meaning. This sounds like something children would do, but it’s also good to memorize vocabulary.
  4. Clean the house. Put stuff away. Organize your kitchen. Water your plants.
  5. Take cold showers and wash your hair. Washing your hair helps to cure headaches.

There are many more things to do to get out of depression. If you have any, comment below with your ideas! Thanks for reading!

How To Overcome Laziness

In the past few months, I’ve been very lazy, it’s uncontrollable. It was difficult to tell myself to be diligent during my unemployment period. I would sleep all day for many months and I didn’t know what to do to motivate myself to be active. I would wake up the afternoon, eat and go back to sleep. This cycle continues on and on. Just yesterday I finished reading a self-help book called The Power of Your Subconscious Mind. I’m not a bookworm and I barely ever read any books in my younger years. I’m more of a movie watcher than a book reader. The only series I ever finished reading was The Twilight Series, which many people say the writings were poorly written. My vocabulary isn’t huge. I completed school up into college. My first job was successful, but I got very sick after some stranger at work put something in my drink. After that, I job hopped for many years until I stopped working in late 2018. Just lately, I motivated myself to start reading as I have a lot of free time at home since I’m unemployed. Last night, I had the idea of creating a YouTube video book review and I finished doing that today. It wasn’t perfect but I knew I accomplished something small. That was all that matters. I did something different out of the ordinary.

Ways to get out of laziness:

1. Pick up a self-help book and read at least four pages each day. Don’t force yourself to read a lot if you don’t enjoy reading it. Just make it a habit to read a little bit every day.

2. Buy at least five books and store them on your shelf. Find genres that interest you. I would recommend self-help because these books will change your thoughts and habits.

3. Write a review of the book or record a video about what you think of the book.

4. Set goals to accomplish this year. Such as finding a job and keeping that job.

5. Eat healthy meals and include one sweet drink with your meal. Why a sugary drink? So that you can wake up from feeling sluggish. Don’t drink too much. Just one full cup is enough. Also, eat enough food each day. It will prevent you from feeling lazy. Too little food causes tiredness.

How To Encourage A Sick Patient

I saw my British friend from London at the hospital today. He has cancer in his throat and couldn’t eat regular food. He has been having only Ensure for two years now. This elderly man doesn’t have any relatives or family. He lives and does everything alone at 73 years old. I knew he was a lonely man for his entire life so I messaged him weeks ago to see how he was doing because he is a fellow Christian friend.

The way I encouraged him was to tell him to have faith in God. I shared my dad’s lupus story to show that he wasn’t alone. I told him how my dad almost died from this lupus disease and God allowed it to happen to keep him holy and not sinning. This British man used to enjoy life, but now he couldn’t consume regular food. I was trying to tell him that this happened to him for a reason to save him from his sins so that he doesn’t continue to sin but turn to God and have faith. I told him to rely on God because no one can save him. He listened very thoughtfully and my words made him better.

What I did today:

  1. Visit him at the hospital.
  2. Treated him like he was our family.
  3. We listened to him talk about how his illness made him feel.
  4. I told him he could give me a call if he needed someone to look after him.
  5. I prayed for him.
  6. I shared my dad’s lupus’ story.
  7. We talked about his past job.
  8. Our attention was focused on him.

How To Be Happy Alone

Being happy when you’re alone isn’t difficult as long as you have the right mindset. For me, I have always been happy when I’m alone because it allows me to have a quiet time for myself. There is a self-help book called The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy. This book teaches you to find peace and happiness based on how you think. All you have to do is change your thoughts and stay positive. If you don’t know how to stay positive, I highly recommend buying this book because it will definitely change your thinking as there are many examples and case studies that show you what people do to solve their problems. If you’re ever stuck in a problem you can’t solve, turn to this book and you’ll find a solution. The writings in this book work like magic!

Here is a list of things that you can do to make you happy:

  1. Don’t care about what other people think. If you’re like me, sadly, I have to work for someone else. That involves being around a couple of colleagues whether you like it or not. The best thing to do is to focus on your job and your future goals. Don’t focus on other people, always be firm and love yourself.
  2. Do self-education at home in your free time. Watch “How To’s”, information and infomercial videos. Order a few books from online. I recommend only ordering educational books because these books encourage you to think and be creative.
  3. Join Facebook groups. Provide feedback in groups. Talk to other members about the topics you’re interested in.
  4. Sign up for free manifestation e-books. The internet has tons of free e-books for you to read. Simply Google “manifestation e-books.”
  5. Sign up for webinars on how to make money online.
  6. Watch tutorials about making videos, graphic design, using Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Make videos about the topics you know. Provide information and opinions.
  7. Use the search bar on Facebook to find information. Facebook search bar works very well for me.

I hope this information helps anyone who is reading this. These are my ways of staying happy and positive whenever I’m alone. It also helps to stay productive.

How to treat unwanted tattoo scars and itchy wound

My first time getting a tattoo was on February 12, 2018. After the tattoo was done, I was very excited. A few hours later, sweat came out of my arm and the tattoo wound itched really bad. Ten days later, I decided to get it removed because the itch was terrible. I went to a skin clinic to get it removed, the procedure was performed. After a few days, I realized the tattoo was not removed. I paid 8,000 THB ($ 251.87 ). I felt I was cheated very bad. The skin clinic advertised themselves as having the tattoo removal service. I wrote a review on Google saying they scammed me, but I didn’t get anything out of that. This was my terrible experience of getting a tattoo at the worst tattoo parlor in Phuket.

I found out my own way that I experimented with to treat the itch and the scar. I would wash the tattooed area with antibacterial soup to clean the area. The best way to get rid of the itch is to squeeze a good amount of shower cream or shower gel onto a clean bath sponge and scrub the tattoo with the bath sponge.

Pat dry the tattooed area with a clean towel and spray itch spray all over the area whenever the itch occurs. You do not need to spray the area everyday. Also, avoid scratching the tattoo with bare nails. You can always scratch the tattoo as long as you do it on top of your shirt. The tattoo will heal on its own when it does not come in contact with bare nails because our fingernails carries germs. It took me one year to stop scratching my tattoo with bare nails. The best way for the scarred tattoo to heal faster is to ignore it and only scratch it occasionally.

How to be content without having money

I’m currently unemployed and I haven’t had a stable job in years. I’m pretty much a job hopper. My bank account doesn’t have a lot of money. In my life I rarely really worked a job. The only time I really worked a long time was as a chef at a four star hotel. I worked there for one and a half year.

I learned to be content with not having money. I use the resources I have at home. Being content isn’t difficult as long as you have a certain mindset. My mindset is to be happy with the resources I have, a laptop, a smartphone, my Ipod and a few books.

I learned that being happy isn’t difficult. I also just discovered self-education from Dean Graziosi. I had a college degree in Culinary Arts and I used to be happy to have it but over the years, my interests change and I’m more interested in being an English teacher to non-native English speakers.

To be content, we have to be real with ourselves. Working as an employee to most people, I believe, sounds unappealing but I think it’s the only thing that would work for me at this moment. To be content is to accept what you have in life, be happy and count your blessings. Work at what you’re good at and never compare yourself to the success of others. I just recently noticed and understand why many can become millionaires or billionaires because they work really hard and they continue to do what they do continuously without stopping. One example, Dean Graziosi, he is one of the world’s best public speakers and he always has something motivating and unlifting to say. He looks like a hardworker and I believe he is. The reason why I haven’t yet to reach my next level of success is because I didn’t work as hard as successful people.

How to start the first goal for an unemployed person

If you’re like me, I’ve been unemployed for a year. The first thing I need to do before I apply for a job is to change my mindset. My mindset is:

I will meet new people, this might be my stable job and I will get paid at the end of the month. Working as an employee allows me to not worry about paying for expensive online business investments that I’m not sure if it’s even legitimate. Working as an employee is the first step to become active mentally and physically. It also allows me to learn the restaurant’s system. In the future, I can use this experience to start my own business.

Many and most folks dread the thought of 9-5 but for me, I don’t have much luck with online businesses yet because it requires paying a huge sum of money. I would experiment online business anytime, but I can’t afford to lose money for something that will not guarantee getting paid. I can only use free sites like Clickbank. If someone can assure me that I will succeed in an online business, I would not mind entering in that credit card number and pay the amounts listed.

It’s not that I don’t want to invest or refuse to invest. Investment was always on my mind. I just need to have assurance that it will be legitimate. If I invest and get the amounts back, I would be willing to invest right away.

An example of my goal is to be an employee for a company. Save up and set aside two thirds of the salary and visualize ahead what I want in life. My two main goals are buying a condo or a house and traveling to nearby countries. The main thing is to have a full time or part time job and while at home, use the time to educate myself about online businesses. I might get lucky in the future someday.

What are your goals and what are your ideas about unemployed folks at home?
